COMPANY HISTORY

During World War II, the production came to a near halt. After 1945, production was quickly taken up again, the product range successfully extended. In addition to production of the main line tin-lead capsules, production of aluminum-foil capsules (Aluna) began.

Since 1964, the lacquer for production of metal capsules is produced on site according to company-own recipes and formulas.

In the early 70ies, the complete tin-lead lacquer production process was converted step by step to fully automatic production on mostly self-designed machines. Production of Heat-Shrink Capsules of different plastic foils began in 1972. A continuously producing band casting facility for tin-lead was installed in 1975, the largest and most modern facility of its kind in the world. Due to the world-wide ban on lead, the facility was converted to pure tin in 1993. The product range was extended by polylaminated capsules (Polymina, Polux) in 1995.

A company laboratory, extensive technical department and a large, qualified staff in the crafts shop today ensure continuous technical progress and serve as guarantee for maintaining the highest quality.

Utilizing extensive reproduction and computer facilities, a highly specialized Graphics Department is able to create tailor-made capsule designs within just a few hours, for even the most unusual requests.
